CARD, Inc. was founded by Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, together with fourteen of his colleagues, as a social development organization in December 1986.
From a mere vision of setting-up a bank which is owned and managed by landless women, it has then evolved into an outstanding microfinance institution (MFI) that is presently leading the pack of microfinance institutions in the Philippines.

1.) Credit.
Our credit programs provide loans to small businesses which the members undertake. These give them the opportunity to save and build up their own capital, thereby enhancing their credit-worthiness.
2.) Micro insurance.
By partnering with CARD Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (CARD MBA, Inc.), our members are insured in times of uncertainties. CARD, Inc. members, being a part of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions, are automatically enrolled in the service. Our members pay an affordable amount of premium for the micro insurance that when in times of sudden and unforeseen
3.) Credit with Education.
Through this program, CARD, Inc. members are trained in topics about health, business, CARD MRI’s products and services, micro insurance, disaster preparedness, and credit discipline by the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI).
4.) Community Development.
As we aim to provide our members and their families with every social need, we collaborate with similar organizations and individuals that share the same development goals. We also contribute to the communities we serve through health, livelihood, environment, and educational programs.
